Mountain’s Edge is a beautiful community located in Southwest Vegas. This region is a master planned community, which was envisioned by Focus Property Group. In a master planned community, every section of the region is mapped out before any construction is made. Over half of the homes constructed in Mountain’s Edge were built in the year of the real estate market decline. The decline in 2008 stalled further production for some of this region’s construction plans.

Mountain’s Edge is home to over 12,000 Las Vegas residents. It measures just over 3,000 acres and is located in the Las Vegas zip code of 89178. Mountain’s Edge sister community is located in the North West and is known as Providence.
Mountain’s Edge is located in the unincorporated town of Enterprise, Nevada. Enterprise includes a large portion of South West Las Vegas and was created in 1996 and is governed by the Clark County Commission. Enterprise is a more family focused area of Las Vegas where Allegiant Airlines has its headquarters.
Being located on the very south west side of Las Vegas allows residents amazing views of the beautiful desert landscape that runs parallel to Las Vegas. Some of the landmarks that can be seen from Mountain’s Edge are Red Rock and Mount Charleston.
Red Rock is known for its amazing hiking trails, beautiful scenery, and scenic route, which runs 13 miles along the side of the red colored mountains. Residents of Mountains Edge have quick access to these trails and scenic route and year passes to this conservation can be purchased when visiting this amazing landmark.
Mount Charleston is the highest peak in the Spring Mountains, which run along the west side of Las Vegas. Many skiers and snowboarders frequent Mount Charleston during the winter to enjoy the snow. Mount Charleston was first climbed by John Fremont, an American explorer in whom Fremont Street off the Las Vegas Strip is named after. Mount Charleston is a beautiful site in the winter and a place where residents can escape from the heat during the summer.
Mountain’s Edge also features Exploration Peak, a mountainous park that includes trails which bring residents and visitors to breathtaking views. From these points you can see all of Mountain’s Edge and the rest of Las Vegas. Exploration Park is also located in Mountain’s Edge. This park has a western feel and measures 80 acres of open spaces. There are many features of Exploration Park, which residents must see for themselves, such as a western settlement reproduction and an Indian village.
The new park in Mountain’s Edge is slightly smaller, measuring at 20 acres, and is known as the Nathaniel Jones Park. This newer park features walking trails, basketball court, and kids play area that includes a water feature. This park is a local hangout and perfect for people of all ages to come and enjoy the great scenery that the parks of Mountain’s Edge provides.
There are two elementary schools which Mountain’s Edge is zoned for. William Write Elementary School ranks 4 out of 5 stars on Google and the staff have been praised for their dedication to educating their students. This elementary school is responsible for close to 1,200 children from preschool to 5th grade.
Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School is currently rated as a 5 star elementary school and has ranked better than almost 70% of other public schools in Nevada. There are currently about 1,100 children in preschool through 5th grade which are attending this Clark County School. The teacher to student ratio of this school is about 20 children to 1 teacher.
