Monterey Cove is one of the 4 subdivisions in Mountain’s Edge built by DR Horton. Monterey Manor, Monterey Square, and Monterey Ranch are the surrounding neighborhoods to Monterey Cove. Monterey Cove’s neighborhood includes approximately 100 homes. These homes were built in 2005 and 2006 and start with 4 bedrooms. These homes’ floor plans include 2-3 bathrooms and 2 car garages.

There are several homes in this subdivision feature pools and/or covered patios. Mountain’s Edge

Mountain’s Edge is home to over 12,000 Las Vegas residents. It measures just over 3,000 acres and is located in the Las Vegas zip code of 89178. Mountain’s Edge sister community is located in the North West and is known as Providence.

Mountain’s Edge also features Exploration Peak, a mountainous park that includes trails which bring residents and visitors to breathtaking views. From these points you can see all of Mountain’s Edge and the rest of Las Vegas. Exploration Park is also located in Mountain’s Edge. This park has a western feel and measures 80 acres of open spaces. There are many features of Exploration Park, which residents must see for themselves, such as a western settlement reproduction and an Indian village.

The new park in Mountain’s Edge is slightly smaller, measuring at 20 acres, and is known as the Nathaniel Jones Park. This newer park features walking trails, basketball court, and kids play area that includes a water feature. There are two elementary schools which Mountain’s Edge is zoned for. William Write Elementary School ranks 4 out of 5 stars on Google and the staff have been praised for their dedication to educating their students. This elementary school is responsible for close to 1,200 children from preschool to 5th grade.

Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School is currently rated as a 5 star elementary school and has ranked better than almost 70% of other public schools in Nevada. There are currently about 1,100 children in preschool through 5th grade which are attending this Clark County School. The teacher to student ratio of this school is about 20 children to 1 teacher.

The other school assigned to Mountain’s Edge’s residents are also rated highly. These schools include

Canarelli Middle School, Tarkanian Middle School, Faiss Middle School, Desert Oasis High School, Sierra Vista High School.
